5 agreements signed between Qatar and Russia on the last day of SPIEF 2021

The final day (5 June 2021) of a Qatari delegation’s participation in SPIEF 2021 is over. Russia and Qatar signed the final agreements with launching an active phase of engagement right after the forum. The central theme of the agreements of the third day was educational and youth policy.

The first agreement was signed by Dr. Michael Benedik, Provost, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), and Alexander Linnikov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Educational exchanges were also marked by the signing of agreements between the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University), Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and the College of Law, Qatar University (QU).

Great advances have been made in the agreements with the Qatar National Library (QNL): QNL signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the St. Petersburg Museum of Islamic Culture and the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (the Kunstkamera).

Along with the signing of the 5 agreements between Qatar and Russia mentioned above, QatarDebate Center organized a session “Climate Change: Fighting or Adapting?” that was held in a debate format on June 5, 2021. The event marked a bright completion of the business program of the SPIEF-2021 Youth Day at Doha Hall, the official pavilion of the delegation of the State of Qatar.
